The Rescue Performance Course is aimed at search and rescue team members who wish to maximise their ability to perform during high pressure rescue situations.
What’s involved?
Rescue Performance is a one day face to face course. Each event is limited to 18 participants to maximise debate and sharing of experience. The focus is 100% on small group work, discussion and development of the principles of the owning the pressure model when applied to mountain, cave, urban and water search and rescue. We will be working in teams of six.
Participants will be supplied with a copy of the peak performance book and access to the online performance course prior to joining the course.
Who is the course for?
This course is aimed at all members of search and rescue organisations. The content is invaluable to personnel from mountain, cave, water and urban SAR teams. This course will be beneficial to rescuers with all levels of experience and ability.

The beneficial and harmful effects of pressure on performance - The Arc of Performance
Design and use of checklists and cognitive aids in SAR
Training for high performance SAR - Simulation, skills drilling and mental rehearsal

Course fees
The Rescue Performance Course costs £140 per person. This includes:
A personal copy of the Peak Performance book - delivered to you in advance of the course
A place on the online performance course
The face to face rescue performance training day
A set of performance infographic cards
All teaching materials
Catering during the course..
If you already have your own copy of the Peak Performance book the cost is reduced to £120.
Cancellation policy
Candidates cancelling up to 30 days prior to a course will be given a full refund. Those cancelling between 30 days and 15 days prior to the course will be given a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 15 days prior to the course cannot be refunded. However, candidates cancelling within a week of the course due to coronavirus infection will be given a full refund on receipt of a positive PCR test result.
If we cancel the course for any reason, including coronavirus restrictions, we will issue every candidate with a 100% refund of their course fee.
